NEW PLASTIC ECONOMY

The “New Plastics Economy” is a circular economic system which eliminates waste, maximises value, and uses plastic efficiently. In doing so it will help protect our environment, reduce marine litter, greenhouse gas emissions and our dependence on imported fossil fuels.

GLASS BOTTLES

A glass bottle is a bottle made from glass. Glass bottles can vary in size considerably but are most commonly found in sizes ranging between about 200 millilitres and 1.5 litres. Common uses for glass bottles include water, food condiments, carbonated soft drinks, liquor, cosmetics, pickling and preservatives. These types of bottles are utilitarian and serve a purpose in commercial industries.

 

CANS

Aluminium is obtained from the earth using energy-intensive mining processes before it even reaches the stage of being manufactured into cans, another process that requires energy. Because so much energy goes into mining virgin aluminium, recycling even a single aluminium can result in significant energy savings. The energy saved from recycling just one can would power a television or computer for three hours.

CO2 EMMISSION

Carbon dioxide (CO2) makes up the vast majority of greenhouse gas emissions from the sector, but smaller amounts of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are also emitted. These gases are released during the combustion of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, to produce electricity.

GREEN ENERGY

Green energy represents all the clean sources of power that are generated using the natural source of energy available on the planet, which are friendly with environment releasing zero emissions and are also renewable.

WATER

Water is essential for all known living organisms. It consists of dissolved gases and mineral and organic substances (H2O).

An ocean is a vast body of salt water that is subject to tides.

It is the largest aquatic environment on the scale of the Earth. Thus, the oceans separate two continents and they constitute the major part of the surface of the planet.

By 2025 approx. 1.8billion people will live in water scarcity and ⅔ living in water stressed regions.
